- I made the mistake of booking a single-smoking room as a non-smoker and the smell was subjectively very very strong. Not the hotel's fault but if you don't smoke and don't fancy the smell of it, do not book a smoking room for the love of God....I had the air purifier on whenever I was in the room but nevertheless, I could always smell a trace of cigarettes. I guess in a way it's a good thing to know that I will not do well living with a smoker.
- The onsen smelled like cigarettes. I was cycling all day and looked forward to cleaning up and soaking in the warm bath, so it particularly frustrated me.
